“I can’t think of too many estates in Piedmont that have raised the bar higher than Vietti has over the last decade or so. Virtually every wine that emerges from these cellars is outstanding, and many are profound … an unprecedented level of consistency and quality across their entire range.” ANTONIO GALLONI, Vinous Media
For the past four generations, the Vietti family has been producing wine in Castiglione Falletto, a small village in the heart of the Langhe region of Piedmont, from their vineyards located across the five communes designated for the cultivation and production of Barolo. Over recent years Luca Currado-Vietti had taken over the winemaking direction from his late father Alfredo. The overall objective, to produce the highest quality wines, whilst retaining respect for the traditions of the specific appellations.
100% Moscato d’Asti grapes are selected from vineyards on the Vietti estate located in Castiglione Tinella. The grapes are crushed, pressed and naturally clarified. Must is stored, without sulfite, at low temperature so that it maintains its natural freshness, aromas and fine bubbles.. The wine is held in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
This is one of Italy’s finest! Pale sunshine yellow color and slight frizzante. Lightly sweet and floral, this fresh and zesty sparkling wine oozes with flavours of mandarin orange sorbet, passion fruit and candied ginger. Great summer drinking and an ideal aperitif, try it with Asian dishes and lobster. It also goes perfectly with pastry, fruit based and creamy desserts, and blue cheeses.
