Second label of leading Barossa winemaker, Kym Teusner made specifically for restaurants has made a splash!
The Round Two wines are a private project made by two good mates; the talented and highly awarded winemaker Kym Teusner and noted Barossa viticulturalist Warwick Murray. In 2007, a 45-acre Barossa Valley property called ‘Woodstock’ was purchased, and the process of developing the Round Two collection began. Since then, the range from the single site has expanded, maintaining ripe, clean and ‘fruit expressive’ characters, all balanced by judicious use of seasoned oak in the winery. Crafted with a focus on generosity of flavour, the wines have become a reliable favourite among retailers and restaurateurs across Australia.
This wine comes from vineyards in the Eastern Barossa Valley, the grapes are destemmed and fermented for five days with twice daily pump overs by hand. Matured in seasoned oak puncheons and hogs heads for 14 months.
Full bodied, soft and generous. Fresh dark berries fruit flavours and smooth tannins keep the wine fresh and persistent.
This fine shiraz delivers serious bang for buck! Will drink well for at least 5 years.
