Description
Pulenta are a pioneering wine family of 3 generations working in Mendoza, Argentina (previous owners of internationally renowned Trapiche) with an intimate knowledge and understanding of their vineyards. Their wines have received high praise internationally including from Robert Parker.
They have crafted a fine wine here from estate grown vines at 1000m altitude in Alto Agrello at the foothills of the snow-capped Andes. Preserved lemons, tropical fruit balanced by salad greens with moreish texture thanks to a touch of bottle age. It reminds me of a sauvignon blanc from the Loire and we could not resist the quaffing end of vintage price! Don’t be put off by bottle age, this wine is zinging along nicely thanks to quality viticulture and alpine acidity.
