Helen’s Hill Estate is 100% family owned vineyard located in Coldstream and one of the Yarra Valley’s finest.
The Ingram Road range of wines combine winemaker Scott McCarthy’s years of winemaking experience with their premium fruit to produce wine of exceptional quality at an affordable price tag. Utilizing all of the hand crafted methods of a small boutique winery with an uncompromising eye on quality, Ingram Rd wines enjoy the winemaking processes of wines that are usually only found on the top shelf but are priced at the everyday level.

From the winery: “Our Ingram Road Chardonnay may not have the price tag of Burgundy but it is made as it came from Burgundy. Firstly it is made from our cool climate Single Vineyard Yarra Valley fruit, secondly, small parcels are hand-picked at harvest based on fruit flavours, thirdly it is 100% French oak fermented and matured and finally, we utilize 100% “wild” fermentation during the primary fermentation stage. This hand’s on approach, much of which relies on Mother Nature, ensures that the fresh, complex, high-quality Chardonnay fruit ends up in the bottle.

Stone fruit, melon and citrus. The palate reflects the nose. A combination of white stone fruit, light melon, citrus and vanilla. Slight creaminess on the back palate but firm acids and nuances of oak provide a long clean finish.

Fresh and bright, this is a classic cool-climate chardonnay that maintains the tension and purity that Yarra Valley
chardonnay is known for throughout the entire wine.”

Multi-clone, wild-fermented in French oak, 10 months maturation. Generous and rich, with nectarine and white peach to the fore, neatly tightened on the finish by grapefruit/citrus acidity. Ready now.

Selectiv’ harvested and whole-berry pressed, wild-yeast fermented and matured in used French barriques; 25% taken through mlf. Its sense of place is imposed loud and clear, with a classic white peach and citrus blend leading the way, supported by nuances of cashew. A very good wine that has the precision expected from a great vintage, and will grow in leaps and bounds through to the end of this decade.
