First planted in 1946 (High Sands Grenache vines), the vineyard spans 170 hectares, with 84 hectares of vines rooted in ancient geology. Its unique terroir, combining altitude, ironstone and sand rich soils and maritime influences produces exceptional wines. Recognised with over 250 scores of 95+ in the past decade, Yangarra has twice won Halliday Wine Companion’s Wine of the Year, top rankings on JamesSuckling.com and received a 2024 Great Wine Capitals Best of Wine Tourism Award for their new cellar door.

The Yangarra Circle collection, showcases the vibrant and refreshing expression of Southern Rhône varietals. Perfect for casual dining and ready to enjoy, these wines are simply delicious and stay true to the exceptional quality of estate-grown, biodynamic fruit from the award-winning McLaren Vale vineyard.

This collection is crafted with a lifestyle focus, offering a youthful, approachable style. Produced with younger vines, minimal oak, and lighter alcohol, the Circle Collection wines are ideal for sharing and enjoying with a range of cuisines.

About this wine from the winery:  A blend of 53% Mourvèdre, 41% Grenache, 4% Counoise, 1% Carignan, 1% Cinsault.  “Hand-picked. Varieties individually pressed to tank and settled. Clear juice racked to stainless steel for cool fermentation. Aged on lees in stainless steel for 2 months before final maturation in old French oak barrels for a total of 5 months before blending. Bottled September 2025. Certified Organic and Biodynamic.

“The 2025 season was the driest on record for the region. These conditions produced very low yields, with small berries and high levels of concentration. A relatively warm February brought on a compact and rapid ripening period, with fruit moving through to maturity in a short timeframe. Despite the accelerated pace, the season has delivered wines with vibrant natural acidity and notable intensity, shaped by the combination of small berry size and the compressed harvest window.

“Grown on our elevated McLaren Vale estate, it’s the perfect companion for beach days, sharing at sunny picnics and dreaming of your next holiday.”

Reviews for 2024 95 points, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion “A come-hither colour and classically dry, but there’s a succulent sweetness to the fruit flavours, allied with a textural pliancy. The acidity offers freshness but is also soft enough for that texture to play out. Poached strawberry, watermelon, white cherry, rosehip, musk and freshly ground cinnamon, all elegantly reflected. There’s clearly a lot of thought to the flavour and shape, but you’d be forgiven for focusing on the deliciousness.”

92 points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front “Strawberry, watermelon, blood orange, biscuit spice, aniseed. It’s a textured and chalky affair, some dried herb perfume in with orange and strawberry, a little bit savoury and meaty too, with a fleshy finish of good length. It’s quite drying, though that’s part of its charm.”
