Description

Agnes de Cervera is a family-owned property in the centre of Priorat, famed Spanish wine region just outside Barcelona. The Cervera family have spent the last decade acquiring and planting over 250 acres of land in several villages, of which about 90 acres are vineyard. The project is named after Agnès, granddaughter of owner, Miguel Jimènez de Cervera who dedicated this project to Agnès to show her his love. She’s ten years old and grows up around the vineyards, sharing with all her family a great passion for wine!

This is delicious (typical Priorat) medium bodied  comprises 85% Garnacha and 15% Samsó spanish name for carignan followed by a brief maturation in French barriques). Juicy red wine brimming with purity of fruit…plush black cherries, plums, framed by classic refreshing raspberry and characteristic terroir mineral tariness ( thanks to the schist rock known as ‘licorella’ soil in the area). Terrific value here – Viva Espana!
