Each year, Jed’s three young Australian winemakers travel to the Uco Valley in Argentina to craft wines that express the unique characters of this acclaimed alpine region. They were hugely impressed with the Uco Valley in Mendoza (450 year history of winemaking) as a unique place to make wine with its fresh snowmelt water (from the Andes), crisp mountain air, high altitude (1250 m) and pure UV light.
Cabernet Franc loves a cool inland climate and that is exactly what it gets in the Uco Valley of Mendoza. From low yielding vines, hand-picked and sorted with rigorous fruit selection. 70% is matured in new French oak for 18 months.
Fragrant aromas of ripe cassis, fresh herbs with focus/concentrated purity of fruit, fine grained, velvety tannins and great length. Limited barrels were made and blessed with bottle age it is drinking beautifully now for your enjoyment… Viva Argentina!
