A new generation of growers and winemakers in Spain have been shaking up the world of wine! Discover this new wave of vino from famous regions such as Rioja, Ribera Del Duero, Rueda and Rias Baxas. Learn about the fine red varieties of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mencia and whites – Verdejo and Albarino. Featured wines include Telmo Rodriguez, Alvaro Palacios, Angel Rodriguez (godfather of Verdejo) Roda (the “Grand Cru of Rioja) and more…
This stand up tasting will be accompanied by Spanish gourmet tapas created by Ricky O’Campo at Ricky’s Cafe Under the Bridge, a passionate chef with Spanish heritage. Ricky opened the first Spanish restaurant on the lower north shore in 2001 – Carabella which was included in the SMH Good Food Guide for four years from 2002, specialising in Tapas and Paella and other Spanish regional dishes. Now, after a 3 year break, he is back with Ricky’s Cafe Under the Bridge.
