Torzi Matthews Schist Rock Shiraz 2009 received an excellent review from leading wine writer Ralph Kyte-Powell recently in The Age (Oct 2010). He wrote: “A gluggable Eden Valley red that provides personality and power uncommon at this price. Lush plum and prune fruit is at the core, and a lifted, almost viognier-like floral note adds dimension. Its chocolatey and full of berry flavour with lovely depth, persistence and ripe tannins.”
