Teusner Barrossa Valley Joshua Grenache Mataro Shiraz 2009 was named by Huon Hooke as his “Top Aussie Red” for the week in the Sydney Morning Herald October 5, 2010. He wrote: “Grenache leads the way with a boiled-lolly aroma layered with spices and sweet berries. Very ripe and charming. No apparent oak, leaving the sweetly ripe fruit full and almost a touch viscous in the mouth. Tight tannins to close. Now to eight years. 91/100.”
