Salitage Pemberton Cabernet 2005 from leading WA winery scored 94 points from influential wine writer James Halliday in his recently released Australian Wine Companion 2010.
He writes:
Bright colour; elegant, light-bodied style with Bordeaux overtones; it is deceptive, for the sweet red berry fruits are not immediately obvious, but come up on retasting; the tannins are gossamer fine, the finish long. Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Petit Verdot/Cabernet. 94 points James Halliday.
Its more-ish savoury characters remind me of Bordeaux. 05 was a great season in Pemberton and the Salitage Pemberton Cabernet 2005 is drinking beautifully now but will cellar till 2015.
