Hamelin Bay 2009 Rampant Red was placed in the Top 100 by prominent Western Australian wine writer, Ray Jordan, in his annual review of Australian Red Wines. Wineries are invited to submit wines in various price points with a limit of two per brand per category. Rampant Red 2009 scored in the Blends $15-$20 category … he wrote: “Never fails to impress, does this wine from the southern Margaret River appellation. Real mouthful of flavour with ripe opulent fruit displaying a mix of balck fruits and plum pudding. The tannins are typically supple, while the oak is deftly understated.”
