Winemaker Mark Messenger (at leading Margaret River winery, Juniper Estate) has weaved his magic with this fine Chardonnay he says .. “The 2016 vintage started early, but then settled down with picking dates for Chardonnay being some of the latest in recent years. The mild weather conditions allowed for slow ripening with ripe flavour profiles developing at lower than excepted sugar (Baume) levels. The resulting wine was made entirely from grapes grown on our southern Margaret River vineyard and has a wonderful array of bright fruit aromas and flavours. It is made as a carefree drinking style with modest complexity from barrel fermentation and lees stirring.
