The fruit for this fine cabernet comes from Wallcliffe. Willyabrup and Yallingup in Margaret River. 30 40 days maceration on skins has imparted plushness and softness to this concentrated wine followed by 14 month maturation in 100% French oak (40% new oak). Very impressive with great length and fine grained tannins.
“Beautifully seductive aromas of violets and blackcurrant with ripe mulberry and light cedary influences. The palate is dense and super saturated yet with finesse and stylishness. Tannins are ripe and the oak supremely judged. Generous and powerful with an elegance right to the finish. ” 95 points. Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2012
“Mulberry and dark fruit. perhaps blackcurrant. then a regional bay leaf/seaweed aromatic and mocha. It ™s medium bodied with firm tannin that guides and shapes. yet feels silky and smooth “ it may even enhance the look of your physique. but no promises. Offers a light touch but also has depth and strength. Firm and long through the finish. Pulled together well with time in the glass and could rate a little higher with time. Fine Cabernet. ” 93+ points Gary Walsh. The Wine Front
