This is very smart Lagrein made by one of the leading producers in Alto Adige in the far north of Italy close to the Austrian border. What spectacular alpine countryside! Stylistically. it is comparable to the medium bodied red wines of Savoie. made from the Mondeuse variety. This medium bodied red. has great length of flavour. fine grained tannins and gorgeous balance. Salute!
