Bill Pannell is a winemaking legend (he started Moss Wood and pioneered winemaking in Margaret River) Picardy is the Pannells ™ new venture in WA ™s Pemberton. This is a superb full bodied merlot. cabernet blend ( 53% merlot % cabernet sauvignon and % cabernet franc ) made similarly to regions of Bordeaux (right bank of the Gironde Pomerol and St Emillion ( my favourite medieval town in France!).
Rich intensity.perfect balance and good structure here. Will cellar well.
