I love the negroamaro grape (native to SE of italy) for it ‘s rich ripe flavours. good structure / more ish depth ( so named negroamaro because of its black colour and hint of savoury bittnerness) and it always offers bloody good value for money!
You will find the Garofano family vineyard in Copertino. a town nr Lecce close to the Adriatic coast you won ‘t go hungry.they make olive oil and cheese too. Winemaker Severino did a great job with this fine red and I love the fact their wines are held in cellar for a couple of years before release … Salute!
