Description
Made by François Labet (pioneer in natural viticulture and the largest vineyard holder in Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot) at Château de la Tour.
This comes from organically managed Cote de Beaune vineyards just south of the Beaune township. The soil is the classic clay/limestone mix and the vines have an average age exceeding 40 years. Hand harvested. Primary and malo lactic fermentation and aging for 12 months in barriques (25% new). 2009 was a great vintage in burgundy. Terrific value with lovely bright chardonnay fruit and tangy citrus/ grapefruity finish. Very smart! RRP $30
