Passionate artisan winemaker. Tom Puyaubert (in fact a Frenchman who married an Espanola!) is fanatical in his focus on their vineyard 50 to100 year old Tempranillo and 70 year old Garnacha vineyard located in Rioja Alavesa (600 metres altitude and the coolest in Rioja). He uses French oak and is producing small quantities of top quality vino (3000 cases “ miniscule production for Rioja). Robert Parker ™s right hand man. “B.B ” stands for “Big Bang ” exactly what this wine is about ! This is bright. fruit forward Rioja more Garnacha (Grenache) than Tempranillo. 50% Garnacha. 30% Tempranillo. 20% Graciano sourced from old vines. Tempranillo and Graciano were aged in barrel for nine months. This brims with red and black berries. dark cherry. pepper and spice and floral lift. Plush fruit and silky on the palate. and zesty. mineral tang on the finish. Plenty of class and depth here as layers of flavours and moreish character were revealed on tasting the next day. Decant this.
