Husband and wife team Jean Claude and Beatrice Bouche have created a fine medium bodied red (80% Grenache and 20% shiraz) from the warm 2003 vintage. Their vineyard (planted in 1978) is located in Camaret. Provence (Camaret is the town where Marcel Pagnol set his book and film Jean de Florette.) Vieux Chene has been certified organic for more than 10 yrs and hence no chemical fertilizers. pesticides and minimal sulphur dioxide. Purity of raspberry. dark cherry fruit. spice with a touch of savoury leather and gentle oak the perfect food wine! If duck is too much trouble this wine would be great with a bowl of pasta. If you like wines with massive tannins. lashings of oak and alcohol. this is not the wine for you!
