Description
Owner Piero Rocchetta (grandson of famed Tuscan produced Sassicaia) discovered the potential of pinot noir in Rio Negro. Patagonia in 2002 when visiting his cousin at Bodega Noemia. He purchased their nearby pinot vineyard planted in 1932 and Bodega Chacra began.
This fine example has plenty of aromatic sweet fruit & spice balanced by more ish depth
(almost a roast meat character) and fine grained tannins. Decant this or alternativley cellar for a couple of years. In the words of Matt Kramer from Wine Spectator. Bodega Chacra makes a “Pinot Noir like no other in my experience. ” Definitely one for the Pinot philes! RRP $80
