Bird in Hand (Highly regarded and awarded Adelaide Hills producer) are going from strength to strength. 2008 was hot and dry and perfect for shiraz. Their 08 shiraz was released recently following rave reviews of previous vintages. Beautiful aromatic nose of blackberry. balanced by hints of licorice.black olives and spice. Palate is rich. round with ripe tannins and beautifully integrated French oak. One for the cellar recommend 3 to 8 yrs. If you lack discipline decant for a few hours before drinking !
