Soave is Italy ‘s most famous white wine. hailing from the town & region in the Veneto. due east of Verona.
Balestri Valda is a small family owned winery (run with a passion by Guido Rizzotto) that farms 20 hectares of vines located to the north of Soave in the best sites from Mount Carniga to below Castelcerino near Verona. The “Classico ” appellation gives it a special quality reserved only for the wines made from grapes harvested and vinified in the Soave and Monteforte d ‘Alpone areas.
First tasted this very tasty soave and drank it with relish at Fratelli Fresh with antipasto This white blend of 80% garganega. 20% trebbiano di soave bursts with zesty citrus. green apples. spring flowers with some more ish nuttiness and texture ( thanks to 6 mths in slovanian oak) on the palate. Love the balance quality and the sharp price ! Bring on the antipasto and seafood.
