In 1988 this Champagne house (founded in 1760 and located in the heart of the Cote des Blancs in Mesnil sur Oger) joined forces with the famous Champagne Salon synonymous with the most prestigous single vineyard blanc de blanc (100% chardonnay) vintage champagne.
100% grand cru including le Mesnil classic blanc de blancs (baby Salon made by same house from similar quality fruit ). 5 years on yeast lees. Extraordinarily complex, long and fine. Great vintage and will cellar. During my visit to Delamotte and Salon in Jan last year, this was my favourite champagne of the lineup including its more exclusive sibling, Champagne Salon 97 at 4 times the price!
