Newly released 2012 vintage has the goods thanks to another great season in Burgundy!
Highly respected Burgundy producer, Vincent Girardin farms 22 hectares of vineyard biodynamically. The 2012 harvest will be remembered for three things: the outstanding quality produced by the best growers, the tragically low yields and the marked increase in prices across the region.
Love this wine (as I am sure would St Vincent- the patron saint of the vintner!) and enjoyed the purity, freshness, depth and energy of this Bourgogne. This is possibly even more refined than the brilliant 2010. It is precise with beautifully ripe supple tannins. Vive La France! Stock up because sadly Burgundy prices will continue to rise as the $Aus is predicted to weaken even further !
