Soft crushing of the grapes with de-stemming; static fermentation in steel tank with selected yeasts at a controlledtemperature of 25 °C; aged for 6 months in steel tanks. It’s delicious, medium weight, an elegant Barbera that is dangerously drinkable.
“This concentrated Barbera is brimming with ripe wild berry aromas mixed with star anise, rosewood and violets. The luscious palate evolves into more tart cherry flavors with notes of clove and dried herbs. The wine is round but the acidity is bright, keeping the wine balanced. ” 90 points, Jeff Porter, The Wine Enthusiast for the 2021.
