Description
Leading vintners, the Drake-Brockmans of Hamelin Bay wines are located in the (cooler) Karridale sub-region, in the south of Margaret River. The estate is owned by the Drake-Brockman family who have long pioneering roots in the area dating back to early settlement by the Bussell family in 1830. Margaret River produces Australia’s best Cabernet Sauvignon and here is a refined expression (southern Margaret River produces cabernet of elegance). Beautiful purity of ripe blackcurrant fruit, tobacco leafiness and more-ish fine grained tannins on an supremely elegant palate. 2011 was another excellent growing season in Margaret River This is delicious medium bodied cabernet sauvignon… blackcurrant, cuban cigar, dried herbs, structure and finesse here
