Crawford River wines from Henty in South Western Victoria are crafted exclusively from hand-picked and selected fruit grown at their estate vineyard, whereupon they are vinified and bottled on site. The fruit is brought to the winery in small parcels, where meticulous attention is paid to detail. Patience and time are of the essence in their winery. Leading light in terms of quality estate grown fruit and premium wines of top notch caliber.
This wine was formally known as Cabernet/Merlot and is now comprised of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon & 25% Cabernet Franc. Winemaker Belinda Thomson.

Cool and restrained, blue fruited, laced with sage and bay leaf herbal characters, briny with minerality and finishes cool and very long. Such poise and prettiness, finesse and deliciousness. Few cabernets scale the heights this does at the price point, and beyond even. Such a beautiful cabernet in its way. Drink 2022-2035.”

Imbued with a coolness- ripe certainly, but refined and polished although neither additions nor new oak.
