Bird in Hand is a family owned premium wine and olive oil producer hailing from the Adelaide Hills. The Nest Egg label is reserved for the most outstanding wines of the vintage.
The best Cabernet Sauvignon fruit from the estate was selected. 2009 was an outstanding long season for grape growing in the Adelaide Hills.
Matured for twenty four months in tightly grained french oak (30% of which was new)…the wine has a vibrant, deep colour and classic varietal lifted aromas of dark red berries, cassis and aniseed. The palate is an intense expression of the aromas, enhanced with integrated fine tannin and a deliciously long, persistent finish. Very limited individually numbered bottles. Decanting is a must. Top Shelf and reluctantly priced to clear!
