Jed Pinot Grigio 2010 from Mendoza, Argentina, has a long history.

Rhys caught up with Tom Egan from Jed Wines when he visited Mendoza and Cafayate in Argentina this year.  Mendoza has a long history of growing grigio brought with them by the Italian immigrants. The Jed Pinot Grigio 2010 is very aromatic (50% aromatic yeast used) for a Grigio with overt stone fruit and honeysuckle characters. Fruit characters and oilyness of an Alsatian Gris are captured with the acid and structure of grigio.  An early picking provides zippy freshness followed by a later picking for fruit richness. Aromas of juicy nectarine, white peach, hints of spring flowers… rich purity of fruit, textural on the palate with lovely cool climate zing. Yum!
