Christian Moreau Chablis Premier Cru Vaillons 2009 – 91 pts from Burghound

Christian Moreau Chablis Premier Cru Vaillons 2009 was rated 91 points from THE leading authority on Burgundy, Allen Meadows on his web site Burghound.com   It is important to note that his scores are generally conservative and lower than either Parker or Halliday.  In 10 years of reviewing Chablis, he has only given out six 96s and one solitary 97. A 90+ score from Burghound is excellent.

Christian Moreau Chablis Premier Cru Vaillons 2009 is from vines aged from 30 to 65 years old aged 2/3rd’s in tank and 1/3rd in barrique (none new).  From a slightly warmer vintage than the 2010 Chablis, Allen Meadows writes of this wine..“A typical Vaillons nose of spice, floral and citrus aromas leads to powerful and solidly well concentrated flavors that are notably ripe but avoid any sense of heaviness on the delicious and sappy finish.” 91 points.
