New into our cellar at The Vine Press is the Charlotte Sound Pinot Noir 2008. From the safe hands of Scotchmans Hill comes this very smart NZ Marlborough Pinot Noir at an incredibly affordable price. Gary Walsh from The Winefront said this: “Made by the people at Scotchmans Hill, and as I always like to say, Marlborough Pinot Noir may be a fair way from being the ultimate or the best region for Pinot, but it makes for a lovely drink at a decent price more often than not. Typical Kiwi Pinot smells – red fruits, spice, a little sap and some attractive creamy oak. It’s light and fresh with a slightly creamy texture mingling with the more sappy acidic main thrust……it’s lovely to drink – has good balance, high drinkability and an easy going sort of charm. Lots to like here. ” 90 Points
