Ashton Hills Clare Valley Sparkling Shiraz 2002 was named in the “Best of the Best” Category for Sparkling Wine and awarded 95 points by James Halliday in his 2011 Australian Wine Companion. Here’s his review: “Spent four years in barrel before tiraging, followed by bottle fermentation for unspecified time. While the dosage is said to be high, in fact is not obvious due to the tannins in the base wine; has great length. 95 Points.”
