Description
Michel Chapoutier, one of France’s most revered, iconic winemakers has always been at the forefront of innovation. Since the early 90’s he has practiced biodynamic viticulture in all his vineyards ( indeed he is custodian of some of the finest vineyards of France). His name has become synonymous to quality and he over-delivers in all his wines.
This Crozes-Hermitage is a favourite in my house at the moment. What a delicious medium bodied syrah ! It is gorgeously elegant, fragrant balanced by more-ish savoury characters typical of the northern Rhone with some bottle age.. Yum !
“Love the price and quality here of a well-made Rhone blend. The attack is light, dry and elegant with black cherry, coffee, meaty, savoury, roasted pepper and herb flavours. Very aromatic and Syrah-like, but it still needs a bit of time in the bottle to put some weight on. Cellar this one for two to three years for optimum results.” 88pts VancouverSun
