About this wine.. from the winemaker “Vintage 2008 came at the end of an excellent. almost balmy ripening period in southern Tasmania. The warmth of the vintage is clearly reflected in the richness of its deep colour. The nose holds the promise of ripe dark berry fruit with subtle nuances that hint of flower gardens. dark Belgian chocolate. and savoury bouquet garni. The palate is rich and tannic in structure. ”
James Halliday 2011 Wine Companion 96 Points “…intense black cherry and dark plum fruit sustained and complexed by superb tannins. built for the long haul. ”
“..this is nevertheless a statesmanlike wine with real potential for the future. ” Matthew Jukes.
“… Seductive style with serious structure… ” Sally Easton MW www.winewisdom.com
