Otto Dal Zotto in Victoria ‘s King Valley is Australia ‘s maestro of Italian varieties. This zesty rose made predominantly from sangiovese (Italy ‘s most widely planted red grape) is brimming with nectarines, citrus and hint of cherry fruit with a more ish savoury European edge (made from predominantly sangiovese and barbera). It is dry and refreshing – superb to drink over lunch.
It often seems to clean up gold medals at the wine show circuit. Easy to see why … this delicious rose is way too easy to drink !
