Culry Flat Pinot Noir 2007 has received fantastic reviews and accolades. It is drinking well now but has great ageing potential. Good to read Phil Moraghans personal tasting notes – “Generous, and already complex, with layers of red and black fruits; herbal, earthy, forest forest floor tones; leather, five spice and cigar box; subtle oak. Palate: Medium to muscular body, with complexity of the bouquet showing through; velvety mouth feel with lots of fine ripe tannins; solid acidity, balanced with ample juicy primary fruit. Seamless line and length, with long, chewy finish. Overall Impression: A young but complex, layered, textured Pinot Noir that will build further complexity with time in bottle. Cellaring: Generous fruit allows for early drinking, but this wine will age for many years. Probably peaking around 2016.”
