Ashton Hills Estate Pinot Noir 2009 scored an outstanding 95 points in James Halliday’s newly released 2012 Australian Wine Companion. This is what he said: “Strong purple-red, no sign of development yet; has that unmistakable Ashton Hills stamp of texture missing from almost all other Adelaide Hills pinots; the fragrant bouquet leads with spiced plum that is picked up by the multi-flavoured, multi-textured palate.” 95 points
