Description
Renowned Geelong cool climate winemaker has done a fine job with this cheeky chardonnay. The Swan Bay range continues the Scotchmans Hill winemaking philosophy of restraint, elegance, balance and purity. The fruit for these wines is sourced from younger sites on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.
Up-front fruit flavours of nectarine, white peach, melon and lemon citrus; with a mineral edge throughout the palate. Creamy and nutty oak characters round out the wine, which has a long and lingering back palate. This wine should be best enjo yed over the next 2 to 4 years.
92 Points, James Halliday .. “Nectarine and white peach with citrus fruits dominating the bouquet. This is complimented by creamy overtones, spice and cedar oak.”
