Trophy Barossa Show 2010!!
The irony of independence you rarely achieve it standing alone … so the slogan says on this fine blend of Barossa Shiraz (50%) and Mataro (50%) a reference to the grape growers who have helped Teusner achieve greatness. The fruit was sourced from low yielding. ancient vines in the Northern Barossa “ Ebenezer. Kalimna and Moppa. Kym Teusner says As always the winemaking is hands off and we let the fruit tell its own story. The result is a brooding. complex wine that sings of the earth from where it came and the toil of our growers that tend the vines….two things that we at Teusner are very proud of. According to Kym 2009 was the best vintage he has seen in the Barossa … a long season with plenty of structure so this needs a couple of years in the cellar or some decanting to open this fine wine out
