salitage pemberton cabernet 2005 scores 94 from halliday

Salitage Pemberton Cabernet 2005 from leading WA winery scored 94 points from influential wine writer James Halliday in his recently released Australian Wine Companion 2010. He writes: Bright colour; elegant, light-bodied style with Bordeaux overtones; it is deceptive, for the sweet red berry fruits are not immediately obvious, but come up on retasting; the tannins are gossamer fine, the finish long. Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Petit Verdot/Cabernet.  94 points James Halliday. Its more-ish savoury characters remind me of Bordeaux.   05 was a great season in Pemberton and the Salitage Pemberton Cabernet 2005 is drinking beautifully now but will cellar till 2015.

teusner joshua 2007 in matthew jukes top 100

Teusner from the Barossa Valley impressed Matthew Jukes with The Joshua 2007 - a luscious blend of Grenache Mataro Shiraz which he rated highly in his infamous Top 100.

"The magical, unoaked GMS blend is one of Australia’s least recognized weapons, and with examples as masterful and as attractive as ‘07 Joshua available, we are hoping that we will see more of them in the future. Kym Teusner has a way with his wines that is nothing short of mystical, coaxing every last molecule of charm from every grape and leaving all traces of coarseness behind – everybody please take note. "   Matthew Jukes Top 100 Australian Wines

Radford 2008 Eden Valley Riesling was voted this weeks Wine of the Week by Winsor Dobbin and scores a nice review. He writes: "There are some pretty terrific 08 rieslings in the marketplace but this would have to rank with the top half dozen; steely and intense with lemon and lime aromas and flavours and some really tight minerally acidity.
