Tasting – April 12th, 2012 … A Night of Burgundy!
Join The Vine Press for a Night of Burgundy on Thursday, 12th April 2012 at Ricky’s Cafe Under The Bridge in Sydney’s Milsons Point.
We will be showcasing two esteemed producers from Burgundy – Domaine Goisot and Domaine du Vissoux.
Domaine Goisot produces biodynamic, hand crafted, textural, racy wines with a rich, stoney complexity that speak loudly of the ancient chalky, mineral soils of the greater Chablis area. The leading authority on Burgundy, Allen Meadows aka Burghound says “No one, but no one delivers more quality for the price than Goisot.”
Domaine du Vissoux remains the hightest-rated Beaujolais producer in the leading French wine guide, Les Meilleurs Vins de France. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate called them “one of the beacons of Beaujolais quality.” If you’ve never tried Cru Beaujolais, you are in for a treat! Doesn’t take itself as seriously as Cote d’Or burgundy but these reds are as wonderfully refined, long lived and an absolute bargain!
This guided, stand up tasting will be accompanied by delicious appetisers created by Ricky O’Campo at Ricky’s Cafe Under the Bridge, Milsons Point.
