Radford Wines Eden Valley Riesling 2008 rated highly in this years release by James Halliday of the Australian Wine Companion, scoring 94 points.
He writes:
“The floral aromas have a background of stoney nuances; the palate is disciplined and taut, with lemony acidity on the long finish; complex making including 9 months on lees, small portion barrel ferment. Cries out for time. Drink 2018. 94 points. James Halliday.”
I reckon Radford Wines make the best Eden Valley riesling to ever pass my lips. They have close to the oldest riesling vineyard in Eden ( 70 years old). It has the acidity and depth to age and like Halliday says will cellar until 2018.
