Radford Shiraz 2006 LAST REMAINING STOCK

Eden valley shiraz at it ‘s best. 500 metres altitude gives cooler nights and mornings and produces shiraz with great aromatics and acidity with raspberry kick. One of my favourite red wines at the “Artisans of the Barossa ” tasting. Concentrated dark berry. raspberry. hints of mocha. aniseed. gentle use of savoury French oak. Still slightly closed but let it breathe and it will open up and it will reward!
Other reviews… The Canberra Times “Like drinking velvet and licorice with layers of bright red fruits. this is a superb modern Eden Valley shiraz that I found hard to resist sampling again and again. 5 stars ”
Nick Stock from WBM rates it Top 100 August 09 “Distinctive Eden Valley spice and fragrance with enough power to place this at the front of the new wave pack. Dark fruits and dark spices. some pepper and fragrant cedary oak all settling nicely into place. the palate moves to red fruits amid find tannins and fresh. bright acid crunch. Terrific structure and balance 93 pts Halliday
