Winemaker Bill Crappsley identified some outstanding barrels of Merlot from the 2007 vintage which inspired Arlewood ‘s new super cuvee wine La Bratta.
A blend of Merlot 60%. Malbec 20% & Cabernet Sauvignon 20%. It is dense. savoury and structured with powerful red fruits over silky tannins. The mid palate weight from the Malbec adds depth and earthiness but the wine closes with the finely grained. pure tannins of Cabernet from a great vintage.
