Voted in Ten of the Best New Wineries in James Halliday’s 2017 Australian Wine Companion.
Established in 2005 by winemaker Aldo Bratovic (had decades working with Brian Croser at Petaluma) and the Jebsen family, wine importer in Hong Kong and now China. This small boutique vineyard is located in the beautiful sub region of Wilyabrup in WA’s Margaret River. After 10 years of dedication and hard work it has become one of the rising stars of the region.
Thrilled to have this wine back .. the new 2023 vintage is terrific! This certainly is impressive Margaret River Chardonnay although a touch more of a racier expression in 23 … lovely depth of fruit, a lick of robust French oak (50% new Chateau Ferre) and gorgeous balance. Not surprised to hear rumour that the fruit here, all the Mendoza clone, hails from Leeuwin! Pedigree here and we love the modest price. Enjoy.. this is a real crowd pleaser.
Reviews for previous vintage: 93 points, James Suckling “Richer style for this wine with cooked apple, pie crust, yogurt and lemon curd. Opulent is a word that comes to mind. Full-bodied with a round texture and lots of flavor. Goes on for minutes. Drink now.”
“Creamy, nutty, and mostly restrained chardonnay here. The steel shavings through the finish make for minerally impressions, otherwise the density of the Margaret River fruit is on show.” Erin Larkin, 2023 Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion.
