Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz is second only to their flagship shiraz Mount Langi. 100% premium cool climate estate grown fruit which has benefited from bottle age in the winery ‘s cellar. 2003 was a drought year which saw great concentration of fruit flavours. structure and tannins. On release it was a serious wine … tight. robust and needed time. James Halliday rated it 93 points back in 2011 and wrote … Good colour. medium to full bodied. attractive. complex array of black fruits and spices. good oak and tannins. Drink till 2015. Now after 10 years of careful cellaring it has mellowed beautifully under screwcap and all that ™s left to do is to drink it over the next few years … the hard work has been done for you!
Superb medium bodied shiraz with oodles of sophistication predominantly estate grown fruit. french oak and some bottle age. Whiff of white pepper. mouthcoating dark berry fruit. licorice with wonderful balance and length. Bottle age has contributed complexity and silky fine grained tannins in this exceptional shiraz.
